Ubuntu Tablet Transformed Into PC
The Spanish brand BQ is known for their smartphones running Ubuntu. In partnership with Canonical, they designed the first Ubuntu tablet.
BQ, the Spanish manufacturer of smartphones and tablets has partnered with Canonical to make the first tablet running on Ubuntu, a consumer version of the free Linux operating system. This tablet hybrid, the M10 BQ, may well be used as a conventional tablet as a PC connecting a monitor and keyboard.

This is not the first time that BQ and Canonical partner. Indeed we owe them already the first smartphone running Ubuntu. They come to unveil a Tablet Ubuntu this time. their full name, the Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition offers two modes, a touch and another desktop which will work as a PC.
The BQ M10 is equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS display capable of displaying a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, or a definition of 224 ppp. The processor is a MediaTek MT8163A composed of 4 core Cortex A53 of 1.5 GHz. It is supported by 2 GB of RAM. For the graphic part is a GPU Mali-T720. Two photo sensors are installed, one of 8 megapixels and a 5 megapixel camera. As storage capacity, it rises to 16 GB and is extensible by adding a MicroSD card.

The BQ M10 shelf is called “convergent” by their designers. It can be used as a conventional Tablet touch mode and also as a PC in desktop mode. It incorporates 2 environments that adapt to the use you want to make.
