This time it’s official: Amazon has just announced that its new top of the line ereader, the Kindle Oasis.
Most of the information had leaked but now the official specifications of the ereader:
- Carta screen of 6 inches 300 dpi (the same as that of the Kindle Travel)
- Improved front lighting for the touchscreen (60% more LED for more precise and even lighting)
- Autonomy of several months
- Cargo cover included and available in three colors: black, burgundy, walnut
- Asymmetric design with buttons to turn the pages together on the side
About the design, one thing had escaped me: it’s practical for left-handers!
The ebook reader is also finer and lighter than the previous ones. a somewhat useless argument so much that I find that the last readers are already very light.
That said it may be an important point for those traveling a lot.
Concerning the cover: it does not seem that this one is solar. It is just that it seems to contain an additional battery to provide a better autonomy to the reader.
The case is a high-quality cook, according to Amazon.

We see that this Kindle Oasis address to the most demanding users and readers. I think that Amazon doesn’t intend to sell millions but tries to response and satisfy a need: Regarding of the biggest readers and the most demanding ones.
